24th June 2026
Dear Leaseholder
Lift Works
We write to you to update you on the
lift replacement at Champions Court due
to start work on 29th June
26.
The Committee of Management advised they
would not be installing a stair lift
whilst the work was undertaken over the
next 7 weeks. This means from the 29th
June 26 until the 19th August
26 you will not have the use of a lift.
We appreciate, for some, this will be a
big inconvenience to you and advise you
make arrangements with your support
network to enable you to remove bin
waste from your home and support you
with bringing shopping to you when
needed. We can sign post you to Local
Authority if you require further support
during this time.
We will continue to support you where we
can, but as you currently do not have a
fulltime scheme manager, we are limited
with what we can do on a daily basis. If
you have any concerns about this, please
contact me on the number below.

Time Frames
The time frames outlined below have been
provided by Classic Lifts. Please note
that these dates are dependent on the
lift being manufactured and delivered as
scheduled. As such, they may be subject
to change should there be any delays in
the manufacturing process.
Current lift unavailable from: 29th
June 2026
Estimated installation duration: 7
weeks
New lift installation completed by:
19th August 2026
What does this mean
for me?
During the lift replacement works, the
lift will be unavailable for use. The
planned start date for the new lift
installation has taken into account the
time required for residents to arrange
alternative accommodation, should this
be necessary.
I am also currently investigating
whether temporary stair lifts could be
installed. Due to the narrow width of
the stairwells, this will be subject to
fire safety regulations and approval.
Should it be confirmed that stair lifts
are a viable option, we will obtain a
quotation for this additional work and
share it with residents for
consultation, so that you may decide
whether you would like to proceed with
their installation.
I appreciate your patience and
understanding while these essential
works are carried out and will keep you
informed as more information becomes
available.
